Creating Strategic Home Ignition Zones

Wildfire defence is all about managing how close fuel sources sit to your home. We structure our mitigation services around the standard FireSmart priority zones:

  • The Immediate Zone (0 to 1.5 metres): We help clear high-risk vegetation, woody debris, and overhanging materials directly adjacent to your home's foundation and decks.

  • Zone 1 (1.5 to 10 metres): Our team thins and prunes trees within this critical buffer. We focus on removing low-hanging branches (ladder fuels) that could allow a ground fire to climb up into the tree canopy.

  • Zone 2 (10 to 30 metres): For larger properties, we selectively remove specific high-risk evergreen trees (like pine and spruce) and clear dense undergrowth, breaking up the continuous fuel path that feeds intense wildfires.

Proactive Fuel Reduction Services

  • Tree Canopy Thinning: Creating deliberate spacing between tree crowns to prevent fire from jumping easily from tree to tree.
